First Explorer at the "Ring of Fire" and presently drilling on the "BIG DADDY" Chromite/Pge's jv'd property...yet we were robbed
the problem with this is that it is always seen as a sign of weakness....
and with Juniors it usually is. ....so then there is a sell off while the split is being considered over months ... and after the split as well.
and with SPQ... there is the added problem of having the claim to fame of being one of the most heavily day traded and swing traded juniors on the exchange.
consequently: it is very plausable that after a 10-1 split ...spq will go from 35 cents back down to under 10 cents. through fear and powerfull traders. this of coures would be disasterous for value to share-holders. this has happened to other juniors in past history... (and it's not bunk)
i beleive appreciation in shareprice must be left to evolve in a natural course of events.
the rules have changed regarding financing ....i learned a lot on this at the last AGM ...JUNIORS do not have to be 5 cents or more to do a pp.
...at the end of the day its the actual market cap that matters ...not the number of shares outstanding when doing value of a company ...for buy-out purposes or investment
if we do a pp at 5 cents or 35 cents ..it amounts to the same in actual money and the subsequent market cap ...which represents the true value according to the market ...this market value however, may be way undervalued if one compares the market cap with what is actually in the ground.
these two values will eventually meet
meanwhile financial companies have no problem financing spq at 3.5 cents... they said this at the last AGM ...it was spq BOD that was holding off, to see if the shareprice would appriciate along with the rest of the ROF ...atleast to 5 cents or so ...that did not happen, for reasons that i already have been giving... (it's got a lot to do with history and subsequent perctentages of ownership and optioning off claims ect.)
if there is another attempt at a revearse split, after all that we have been through the last time, i would not be surprised if spq will hit 1 cent maybe lower. personally, i would just sell the remainder of my 'sentimental' shares if i hear the bod considering trying it again ...that's for sure.
meanwhile, i do not beleive it would go through as was the case the last time, because of another shareholder revolt... but before such a vote at the next agm, there would be much damage to share price and company reputation and good will, as a result of going through the process... as was the case the last time.
tell me what you think Lar
i hope that helps ...cheers danny
