Just came back from Thunder Bay. Was taken aback by the fact that everyone has heard of the ROF up there even though it is quite far from the site.

Not sure if this was posted earlier, but apparently two potential options were considered for a railway line to ROF from the CN mainline over 300k to the south - an eastern and western line. Apparently the eastern line has been nixed and auger tests are being done on the western line.

There is some speculation that perhaps Ontario Northland Railway (govt of Ontario) may partner in the line...speculation only.
