Well this guy does live in Toronto the center of the Universe, so he must know what he is talking about. He also works for the POST a fine statement of integrity. I could go on but my point is made.

The resource sector has been filling the coffers of countless Toronto Premiers for decades. They may ignore the north in everything from Roads, Healthcare and education but be assured they will not forget where the cash to run the south comes from.

THEY SMELL CASH and so should every share holder of SPQ.

The forestry Giants pillaged the north for decades, till their poor forestry practices caught up with them. The environmental foot print of mining is insignificant to past forestry practices, banter from environmentalist living in southern Ontario and the concrete jungle of Toronto is a bad joke.

A rail line through this region would not even be noticed. Flip that road map of Ontario over and look at the scale for Northern Ontario to judge the distances involved not the printed area (A mistake made by many from Toronto).

Better yet get on the ground in this area and see just how insignifigant you are. I've paddled, flown and boated this area my whole life, once in the bush you could walk for weeks in any direction and never see another Human. A few mines and a rail line will not effect the wildness of this region.

Ten minutes outside of Thunder Bay an area developed for over 100 Years is still wilderness.

Remember SCALE SCALE SCALE
