The thing that bothers me the most about a RS is it has the potential to eliminate a lot of small investors that look for the "penny stock" that will change their lives.
Many (IMHO) would rather buy 10,000 shares at $.14 then 1000 at $1.40. Same total cost but it is easier to imagine a 5 cent increase on the first purchase then a $.50 increase on the second. May well just be a purchasers mentality as the overall value of the company does not change - but I think the make-up of the shareholders might and that would be an easier target for the big boys to get their required voting shares.
As mentioned - all IMHO.
