Cappy:
I will endeavor to chat with Neil on Tuesday.
In the meantime I googled "chromite mining tonnages" and found this info for Zimbabwe:
http://www.mbendi.com/indy/ming/chrm/af/zi/p0005.htm
"In 2003 Zimbabwe produced 725 822 t of chomite ..."
Simple arithmetic of 725,822 divided by 365 days = 1988 tonnes per day.
Now this might not mean anything except arithmetically. And I know little about chromite mining or mining in Zimbabwe.
But 1988 tonnes of chromite is the number mined per day in Zimbabwe in 2003.
