Well said Snug.
the latest short positions on SPQ - for those who don't know, it's mandatory for all lexchagne listed firms to report their short positions every 2 weeks.
Net Change Total Short Last Price
April 30 - -35,000 948,771 0.12
April 15- 963,771 983,771 0.13
Mar 31- -10,285 20,000 0.12
Mar 15 - 29,285 30,285 0.14
So what the table above is telling you is that when SPQ his $0.15 there was a huge short position put on between Mar 31 & Apr 15. Since April 15 there has been a modest decrease in shorts. Bottom line, sooner or later these shorts have to be covered.
A little market test for you. What happens when a short has to be covered ?
Answer : You have to buy the stock back. Curent market $0.085
