Not only does Cliffs not "Want" this to slip away, they can't let this slip away. I don't think it's an option for them.
If FWR was going to provide that much to their bottom line and the SPQ/KWG aquisition would give them the control they need, this play means more to them that just the face value of the 2 companies. That's why they were willing to buy 1 or the other. It provides them the much sought control. So regardless of price, Cliffs needs this, badly.
Not to mention Cliffs already announced/bragged how valuable this ROF is and how this will be big for them and their shareholders. Without the control, this play doesn't go their way, they have to get control, regardless of the price. A company that big will settle for nothing less than complete control.
I'm hoping everyone involved with SPQ/KWG, "get's it"
I used the word "control" 4 times, (ok, now 5) becasue that's what it's about for them.
