rj,
This discussion came up before. The first I heard of the phrase "The opera ain't over til the fat lady sings" was coined by a very well known Texas lawyer by the name of Racehorse Haynes during a muder trial long before the flyers were though of. It was regarding the prosecutions case and it's strength as suggested to him by reporters. Hence his response to them meaning they had not seen the defence go to work.
Hw was the lawyer of a powerful millionaire in Texas. I read the trial but for the life of me cannot remember which. There have been so many good muder cases from Texas.
I stand to be corrected of course .........:)
Regards
