I really don't understand Cliff's strategy; first they tried to play off KWG and SPQ by saying they wanted one or the other; now the supposed focus is on SPQ with a small offer that appears to be going nowhere.

If the merger goes ahead (and it seems it will since that is the overwhelming sentiment on this Forum), not only do they lose their potential for a majority stake in Big Daddy, but more significantly...they lose control of the railway route.

The railway route was secured by staking for "mineral exploration"; it is unlikely anyone will be allowed to do that again to the ROF.

Their strategy doesn't make sense.
