Just something to ponder while we wait for the news...

I wonder if the merged company would actually get bought out, or if they even want to.

Novak is still fairly young, and I think that he has enjoyed stomping around in the bogs of northern Ontario, using 1000m drills as metal detectors. Is he really ready to give up on that? I think he would like to continue doing that, hoping to find another prize property up there. With the geology reports we have seen already, I don't think that BD is the last of the gems up there.

A lot of the combined properties are still unproven. Even BD still requires some additional proving. However, it is obviously at the point where it is drawing attention, at least from one major. Once it gets to feasibility phase, I think there will be other majors interested. So, maybe the merged company will be able to sever BD and sell it separately. The billion or more that they get in cash could be used to fund exploration forever. They could also do a stock buyback to reduce dilution.

It makes sense for the merged company to conduct their future business in this way. They will be able to complete their main work focus (exploration) and package up deposits for sale to interested parties, based on an in situ value of that one property.
