I would have to disagree with you when you say,

Nobody in their right mind would buy something for 50 cents when it can be had for 19 cents. I'd expect another 2 or 3 cents at the most

We all have to realize that CLF needs to rap this up by July 8th. CLF will pay what ever price they need to in order to kill the Merger. Do you really think that CLF will not pay 50 cents and risk losing Big Daddy to another major? You will see how desperite CLF is on July 7th. Not only will CLF pay 50 cents but as an added incentivie CLF may even throw in some CLF shares to guarantee their victory and win for SPQ.
