Sometimes, the fact that you are unemotional and no love for a certain company is the wrong tactic to use.
I agree in a traditional share purchase you shouldn't base you purchase on emotion.
This is not your run of the mill investment this time, and we all know it. The fact that it might be unwillingly ripped from our hands makes it emotional.
The fact that we are "passionate" about this play does not mean we are wrong. It merely provides the incentive to fight for what is right and nor become complacent you apparently have become.
Nobody should discount the fact that you do own shares in Cliffs. You mention no love for any company, which is exactly why some incorrect decision are made and why big business always get their way regardless of the "little guy" or what is right. So if you want to buy into that mindset, you've already lost and they have won.
I for one intend to be part of the "david" crowd and not let your lack of "love" in this case lead to a bad decision for all.
I am calm, but I also refuse to let people without emotion decide what is the right course of action. Emotion at times can blurr, but in this case should help get the "Correct" information out there and provide the incentive to vote FOR the merger. Lack of emotion or love will take the piddly quick couple of cents and go along their merry way, destroying 2 Candian comanies in the process for a quick American .19ยข.
Hey you're not emotional, so I guess you sleep well at night, so be it. Happy Canada Day coming up,... I guess.
