"I'm in the dark here" Al Pacino. Scent of a woman.

Go to SEDAR website. All company filings are here. Read especially MD@A's, management discussion and analysis.

Go to company website's.

Go to Association for Mineral Exploration site for a primer on mining companies.

Streetinvesting.com

TSX for a primer on stock investing in general

Library: Ben Graham, Peter Lynch, Jesse Livermore etc.

Set up play money account at Stockhouse or some other. Use play money for a while

Generally speaking, stick with what you know. Peter Lynch advice.

Try to stay focused at least on one area of the market. I used to be all over the place, oil, drillers service, mines, trucks, trailers, tech. Too much to keep up with. Cramer thinks it's a good idea to spread out. Personally I disagree. I focus almost exclusively on small cap miners/explorers now. Study all I can about same.

Technical Analysis for dummies not a bad overview if you are planning on being in the small mine/explore area. TA may not really apply to this area, but it doesn't hurt to have a simple grasp of the terms and theories.

Find a friend with geology background. Pick their brain, supply booze, bug them til they smite you with a rock hammer.
