(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
hile we all speculate on how the mine will be organzied, and how much the variable costs can be mitigated by electricity vs diesel and other things, let's remember that all of this is to be explored by the mine design in the PEA. Back in March, there were forecasts of 7 to 10 weeks after Feb 26, the Resource was to be published (which would be about May 2) and the PEA in late June.
I am optimistic that the reason for the delay in the resource is that by waiting a few more weeks, the company may be able to add some final Bruce - to - Ormsby gap-filling drill results coming in late, so that the resource published is over some nice number (such as 1.8 Moz). And that this resource can be followed up with a subsequent series of news releases in the coming days (not weeks) such as an operational update, more drill results, financing news, analysists' recommendations, permitting details, community outreach (yellowknife office) and other things so we have a bang-bang-bang month. Will this happen in June? Or July? Or August?
My bet is July.
We've taken a lot of pain in the last few months, and all of us seem tired of the same old self-supporting optimisim to sustain our confidence. We really need to see some attention paid to getting the word out to us and the investment communtiy.
SOON.
