I think the problems associated with peak oil will really have started kicking in by then, so I have a hard time seeing much beyond then. It's hard to tell what the impact on gold will be, but I think we'll see dramatic and painful shifts to our economic system to accommodate ever increasing energy prices - something like Kunstler's "Long Emergency" I guess. Plus it's just after the Mayan Dec. 2012 end date.
