It's a nice round number and I think we'll be surprised how long the PTB defend their fiat money system before they accept the inevitability of a gold backed reserve currency. I think we'll go through multiple fudges and badly conceived plans before they just do the decent thing and back all currencies with gold and silver (that will be the top and we'll being 5 digit territory by then). This is my best guess... but I have just spent 4 hours in the pub and I am a little drunk...
