André Gaumond
President, CEO and Director

Amélie Laliberté
Investor Relations

Ms. Laliberté holds a degree in Communications with a major in Public Relations from the University of Laval in Quebec. She joined Virginia’s team in 2002. She is also a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society and of the Société des relationnistes du Québec.

Mathieu Savard
Senior Project Geologist

Mr. Savard holds a Geology Degree from the Université du Québec at Montreal. He has over 10 years of mining experience; most specifically in gold, base metal and nickel exploration in Precambian terrain. He started his exploration career in 1997 with Virginia Gold Mines before working for Miramar Mining Corporation on the Hope Bay gold project in the Canadian Arctic. In May 2000 Mr. Savard joined Virginia Gold Mines’ team as Project Geologist. Mr.Savard worked closely on the development of the Éléonore project up to the time of the sale of the deposit to Goldcorp. Mr. Savard is now the Senior Project Geologist working on the development of the Coulon JV project. Senior Research Geologist

Mr. Lavoie holds a Geological Engineering Degree from University of Québec in Chicoutimi ( 2001). Before joining Virginia’s team in 2004 he worked on different exploration projects in the Saguenay Lac-St-Jean area and in a mine in Peru. Mr. Lavoie is a junior member of the Quebec Order of Engineers.

Louis Grenier
Project Geologist
Mr. Grenier received a Geology Degree from Laval University in 2003. Before joining Virginia’s team in 2004 he worked as both assistant geologist and a geologist on the Grand Nord and Front de Grenville projects for the Québec Ministry of Natural Resources from 2001 to 2003. He is a member of the Québec Order of Geologist and the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM).

François Huot
Senior Project Geologist

Mr. Huot holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology (1994) and a Masters Degree in Earth Science (1997) from Laval University, as well as a Doctorate in Marine Geoscience (2001) from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (France). During the course of his European studies he worked on a number of ophiolite complexes in Quebec, the Philippines, Tibet, Cyprus (Sri Lanka) and California, and took part in an oceanographic mission that enabled him to dive in the Central Indian Ridge on board the submersible NAUTILE.

Before joining Virginia`s team in January 2008, he was mining exploration consultant and lecturer in the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering at Laval University.

Mr. Huot, who has over 10 years of experience in mining exploration and geological research, is a member of the Québec Order of Geologists.

Isabelle Roy
Senior Project Geologist

Ms. Roy holds a Geology Degree from Laval University (1993). Before joining Virginia’s team in the fall of 2007, she worked as Project Manager for SOQUEM in the Appalaches-Grenville and Quebec area from 1997 to 2006. She has also worked on several exploration campaigns in the Côte-North and Saguenay-Lac St-Jean, Gaspésie and James Bay. She is a member of the Québec Order of Geologists.

Francis Chartrand
Senior Project Geologist

Mr. Francis Chartrand holds a Geology Degree from Concordia University and a Masters and Ph. D in Economic Geology from l’École Polytechnique in Montreal. Before joining Virginia’s team in 2008, Mr. Chartrand worked as geologist and Service Manager for the Ministry of Natural Resources in Val d’Or, and research geologist for SOQUEM, as well as working as an independent consultant geologist. Mr Chartrand was President of the Geological Society of the CIM from 2001 to 2002 and is also a member of the Society of Economic Geologists.

Jean-François Ouellette
Chief Consultant

Active in the exploration domain since 1986, Mr. Ouellette holds a degree in Geology from the Université du Québec in Montreal. He started his career successively as junior and senior geologist for various projects with the Vior-Mazarin mining group. He was promoted to Director of Exploration in 1992. Since 1994 Mr. Ouellette has been President of Géonordic Technical Services Inc., a consultancy firm specializing in mineral exploration in northern areas. This company has as its mandate the generation and execution of projects in archean environments. Mr. Ouellette is a member of the Quebec Order of Geologists, the Society of Economic Geologists and the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada. He has also served as Vice-President of the Quebec Mining Exploration Association, where he continues to be an active member.

Robin Villeneuve
Chief Financial Officer

In the last 13 years, Mr. Villeneuve held positions with various levels of responsibility at AbitibiBowater, acting successively as Financial Accounting Manager and Control and Manufacturing Accounts Manager. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - major in Accounting, from Laval University, Québec, and is a licensed Chartered Accountant. Mr. Villeneuve brings solid financial expertise to the Company.

Daniel Bédard
Controller

Mr. Daniel Bédard has been a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) since 2004 and holds a degree in Accounting Science from the Université du Québec in Trois-Rivières. In May 2006 he became the Company's Controller. He was also Accounting Manager at Jeunesse du monde (2003-2006) and a financial analyst with Teleglobe (2002).

André Lemire has been a Director of Virginia since June 1996. He became a Director and Chairman of the Board of New Virginia upon its incorporation on November 30, 2005, Mr. Lemire is also Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Lemire has a degree in Economics from the University of Ottawa.

From 1972 to 1990, he held various executive positions with the brokerage firm of Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion Inc., notably Executive Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors. From February 1990 to January 1995, he was President and Director of Operations for Marleau, Lemire Securities Inc. In January 1995, he became Co-Chairman of the Board of Marleau, Lemire Securities Inc. and President of Marleau Lemire Inc. Mr. Lemire was also the Governor of the Montreal Stock Exchange for the period of 1994 to 1996. He is currently President of LemVest Inc., a private holding company.

The Board of Directors nominated Mr. Lemire Chairman to the Board of Virginia. In this capacity Mr. Lemire must ensure that the Board is in a position to act independently from management.

Mr. St-Jacques has been a Director of Virginia since June 3, 1996. He became a Director of New Virginia upon its incorporation on November 30, 2005. He graduated from Laval University in Political Science in 1982 and has been involved in the mining industry ever since. Mr. St-Jacques was General Manager of the Québec Prospectors Association from 1982 to 1984. He is Chairman of the Board of Société d’exploration minière Vior Inc., a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

Mr. St-Jacques’ business relationship with Virginia is limited when the leasing of premises arises, due to acounting and reception services provided by Gestion St-Pierre (a company controlled by Mr. St-Jacques) to Virginia. He must abstain from voting on any matters before the Board concerning approval of services offered by this company. Mr. St. Jacques is also responsible for the development of Virginia ’s communications policy.

Mr. Jacob has been a Director of Virginia since June 21, 2005. He became a Director of New Virginia upon its incorporation on November 30, 2005 and is Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He is President and Director of Maximus Capital Inc., a consulting company in business financing and corporate reorganization. He has been a lawyer and a member of the Québec Bar since 1995. He is also Director and Corporate Secretary of Power Tech Corporation Inc. Mr. Jacob was President and Director of Dufort Capital Inc., a capital pool company, now called Groupe Odesia Inc. following its qualifying transaction. Mr. Jacob was Director and Secretary of Les Investissements Rasa Inc., another capital pool company now called Fortsum Inc. and of SLC Capital Inc., now called Conporec Inc. He was Vice-President and Director of LBJ Partenaires Inc., a private management company, from October 2000 to October 2004. He was also an associate of Flynn, Rivard avocats from January 1996 to October 2000. Mr. Labbe has been the Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Plexmar Resources Inc. since May 2007. He was Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Medicago Inc. from July 2004 to May 2007. Mr. Labbe has more than twenty years of experience in administration and finance. Before joining Medicago, he was Vice-President of Finance and Secretary of Sequoia Minerals Inc. from December 2003 to June 2004, and of Mazarin Inc. from March 2000 to December 2003, while both companies were listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to March 2000, he held management positions in accounting and finance with Agrinove, an agri-food cooperative, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) where he was involved in many acquisitions and public financing projects. Mr. Labbe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Chartered Accountants Degree from Laval University, Quebec City. He is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Quebec and of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Advitech Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AVI), a health sciences and technology company.
