You could be right, but since the vast majority of the selling was through Anonymous I tend to doubt your hypothesis. It look more like strategic buying and selling by big customers or houses for their propriety accounts to me and I don't see them panicing based on this new release. I think they may as you said look at the PR and said, well this won't lift the market significantly so we can take advantage of the thin trading and whack it one more time. Sell it down strategically so they can buy it back at lower prices. Wash rince and repeat and so on. From my perspective that is manipulation, maybe its legal and maybe its no big deal but I don't think this sell off is just panic retailers.
