I KNOW you and most everyone else here recognizes that, as far as what EDIG might get in settlements, it's all subject to negotiations and consideration of many factors. The opposition may take ongoing royalties off the table. The opposition may be in very weak financial condition - you have to consider "ability to pay". Your opponent may be your first opponent, so strategically ANY settlement is good in order to better establish validity of the patents. It's probable that they'll get more out of later, much smaller companies than the first "biggy".
So trying to figure this is like trying to jump into an ongoing chess game with no view of the board. The important thing though is to be in play, 'cuz if you're not, you're gettin' nuttin'!
SGE (and I'll shut up now - 'cuz someone suggested that if I speak rarely I could become a wise guy! Just so I don't have to move to Jersey! LOL).
