If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a darn duck. Who cares?
The point of my comment and the posted article was to show the continuing debate about IP and the mountain of legal work needed to protect IP. The US economy is based on ideas more than the ability to manufacture now. Those ideas (patents) have value and companies that own the ideas have been unduely labeled. One portion of our political system has held hearings about "patent trolls" and some of the largest names in the tech industry (Intel) have called for limits on IP awards and the number of lawsuits.
IMO, if EDIG is successful, they will be in the same muck as all the other "Rocket Docket" filers in Marshall, TX. Good for them. Most of time the infringing companies pay off AND most of the time the IP holder is called a patent troll.
Who cares? Show me the money and you can call me any thing you want. I have no idea if EDIG will sign on a sugar daddy legal team put even one mean ole copy cat "on notice." I certainly hope they do, but I would maintain the need to sell more stuff that I can touch, like eVU units, until we see the forest for all those darn trees.
