portable IFE device, the

eVU mobile entertainment system.

The device features a customisable

passenger-friendly interface,

passenger-adjustable viewing screen,

and an industry-leading 14 hours of

continuous video playback from a

single battery charge. It is available

with either a 7 or 8in hi-res LCD

screen with 40-200GB storage

capacity for many hours of movies,

television shows, music, specialty

programming and games, without the

need for external game controllers.

MPEG1, MPEG2 and MPEG4 content

formats are supported.

According to e-digital, eVU is

the smallest and lightest dedicated

long-play portable IFE product

available today, delivering highquality

audio output through two

stereo headphone jacks. It integrates

the latest in battery safety features

and has a portable IFE battery life of

up to 14 hours, via its removable

‘smart’ rechargeable high-capacity

battery pack. The system also

features a secure high-speed

download interface for content

refreshing, content usage tracking,

real time clock and a built-in credit

card reader. Options include wireless
