DM strategy for Vivitar?
As I stated in an earlier post:
Select one of the smaller companies in a specific market segment with a high probability of a settlement success, establishing a legitimate infringement, and then follow up with those competitors identified as having infringed on the same patents.
An aggressive fight if the suit equals a large amount, perhaps a settlement if the amount is reasonable and doesn't impact the income statement significantly. The range of 5-10 million would go a long way, this is a WAG of course.
I'll bet the next lawsuit will be in a different market segment, one of the many identified by edig management.
