I cant imagine that congress  and the courts are going to change laws such that companies protected technolgy can be stolen with no recourse . Isnt patent infringement theft ??   Edig has valid patents on valid technology . The issue is identifying factually who has used  or stolen the tech without permission . That is what DM is doing . Hopefully they will identify companies that have been using the tech for 10 years or more
