A while back we discusssed the connection between EDIG an iPod and iPhone on these pages...

As I recall, the conclusion was that Apple had no "Secret Sauce" until Jobs came back to Apple and set up shop to be King of the Hill in the digital data, (Music, etc.) transmission...

Initially, he used Portal Player chips, (one of EDIG partners), to start with Ipod. They were one of those entities you call "Vertical developers" who supplied the applications, which promptly were reverse engineered into Apple Patents.

Couple of Billion dollars later, Mr. Jobs filed for couple of patents, citing EDIG as Prior Art, and now he has amassed a $28 Billion war chest to ward off any law suits, or for that matter to lobby Congress to change the Patent Laws...

It really comes down to what DM is capable of doing in getting all these "Secret Sauces" exposed for what they are...

They have put their reputation and their money,( Fronting the costs of litigation), in pursuing this case to its just end. And I have no doubt that EDIG shall be vindicated...

And 2010 is just around the corner...
