It appears there is a chance

It appears there is a chance Dischino may be correct in that the shareholder meeting may not be webcast. I talked with Putnam this afternoon and he appologized for what appears to be late notification of shareholders as to the particulars of the Annual meeting. There may still be a webcast but the decision will be made at the last minute on the basis of ongoing and still pending business. I don't know what this means but he did offer that they are being very cautious about what gets said and who listens to the webcast in leiu of pending litigations. He did say that one way or the other shareholders would be informed about the webcast and updated about progress. It sounded as though there would be additional filings on or before the shareholders meeting and that they will likely be discussed during the meeting.
They are looking forward to the meeting and feel shareholders will view it as positive. My guess is that there is a pending settlement with one of the infringers. I'm not sure if an (SEC - court) filing is required if a settlement occurs but it seems as though any material change to a business requires an SEC filing. Again, I don't know for certain if this is what he was alluding to. I did ask if he could provide any insight into the receint Vivitar court filing that required any decision of a settlement by Oct. 1. Of course he couldn't answer that but it puts into context what I'm thinking.... and perhaps how I've drawn this conclusion. We'll see!
