I just tried to read both these patents and was completely befuddled with the "tech" however it was fairly clear to my muddled understanding of what I read that 445 is MOS and it does not have any Prior Art to speak of except BAN which was shot down as being close.
While 774 is straight RFMARP.
I have a better understanding now, for a non-techie, why 774 is the primary focus in the infringement cases....774 doesn't mention "operating system" where 445 is strictly that.
I am making the assumption that if an alleged infringer is being sued for a violation of 774 and 445 then the infringer violated TWO SEPARATE technologies.
Again, in my non-techie understanding, it appears to be far easier to prove a violation of 774 than 445.
I hope I am not mis-speaking and that my perceived understanding is somewhat close to reality.
DONI, HELP....
