Your thinking is on ....
445 is an advanced variant of the former tech.
Like I previously stated, for the advance method, or the prior simpler methods....the gate(cashing sequence) is the same for both.
All they have to do is shut the gate, because there was no prior art when the gate was created relating to flash.
They're doing it through their principles of Audio.
445 is yet an advanced process behind the gate...it will manage way more than audio files.....ANY FILES.
The gate is the principle streaming process that is used for all processes, when moving(signaling) data from a flash environment to other environments.
However, keep in mind, even though the gate is there, the back ground principles, simple and advanced, have 100% to do with why the gate functions as it does.
The gate is adjustable to any given flow need.
I would say that 774 in the manner they are going after shutting the gate, is the only patent that will be licensed.
There is a lot that could happen beyond that.
I note the initiative...
"Nokia is partnering with some of its own competitors (Samsung and Sony Ericsson) as well as with chipmakers such as Micron, Spansion, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments to promote a single flash storage technology aimed at mobile phones. Currently dubbed Universal Flash Storage, the goal is to eliminate the need for various card readers and translation devices for the number of media currently available."
e.Digital's process is not a translation process of any kind.
IMO, they are beginning to stumble on the e.Digitals patents.
