Depends, both of these companies have the ability to implement the process. The raw flash is but a commodity having the basic read/write/erase. Outside vendors such a Sandisk, e.Digital...etc, create software environments that interact with the basic red/write/erase. The environments e.Digital, Sandisk, etc... create are patented.

For e.Digital, they are challenging others of the most simple up front process that sits in front of all processes, including the advanced ability of 445. The streaming of data directly off the flash, where e.Digital has yet advanced streaming methods over their simple.

I have commented may, may times of a simplistic method having interment contiguously arranged data, that others may try to implement on. Simple, or an advanced method, e.Digital should be able to stop them right at the front...the utilization of RAM resource.

That is as simple as I can put it, however, that streaming ability all relates to how e.Digital fromates the flash and the manner they control and track the data.

They are basically doing as I have suggested, identifying the RAM resoure(or cache) involved for a device and how its utilized. The test described, cuts the process off.

For now it's audio, because they are dirrectly patented to it.
