Why would edig report early? Keeping everything under wraps as long as possible would keep everyone guessing as to how large or what the terms of the settlement were. Unless the figures of the settlement are extremely large, imo, edig will keep its "cards" as close to the vest as possible to give DM as much time as possible to "squeeze" for more out the the infringers.
