emit, keep in mind, your comment..."Devices that use flash memory as main memory"...using the flash as main memory means to emulate RAM from the flash.
When they remove a flash module while executing a file....they are interrupting the emulation process dead in its tracks. This process is testing 445 at it's outer concept.
Companies are going to eventually do the same from SSD's, there's no difference, except that the memory is much larger.
