At the SHM, RP stated they had done presentations of eVU at hospitals and the product was well perceived, but EDIG lacks the funds to do any more marketing in this area at this time. He said, "we can only do so much with what we have."
A question about military usage came up at the SHM also, as a potential but future customer base.
There have been many posts concerning hospitals, military and others, thus IMO this is why you are seeing these comments.
And I posted way back, that I want to see the day the eVU is renamed Portable Entertainment Product (PEP) vs In Flight Entertainment (IFE)...meaning the customer base is no longer airlines only.
Bottom line, the hospital topic is real, but on hold under they can afford the cash to hit the streets to sell it.
