Msystems initiative was not to create an environment within flash that was self standing. Their initial goal was to take status quo operating systems and translate them into the flash environment while utilizing the same methods of overhead typical of the standard OS's.

Edigital's initiative was not to translate higher level OS's into the flash environment, but to create a self standing environment for which they devised an OS having a structure in common with the flash for an audio management process directly.

However, with the publishing of 445 and advanced methods, they put the process for the above Msystems translation in the toilet, by implementing a process that allows the adoption of higher level OS attributes directly within the same structured environment.

In essence, it allows the higher level OS's to function directly, bypassing all the normally assorted overhead through the API of e.Digital....portability to any OS with a software solution.
