It will be interesting to find out why/how he left...if we ever do. As far as the statements about other opportunities, they do state:

So we know it's EVU as far as current product. Regarding partners, it could be anyone. If they have a particular someone in mind they certainly could not say who they are until an agreement has been made.

I don't have enough information yet to judge whether this is good or bad news time will tell, we've been through worse :)
