I interpreted 'conflict of interest' as working for the same Parties (EDIG and an infringer) at the same time in an ongoing lawsuit. If DM isn't Counsel of Record for EDIG, they wouldn't conflict.

I definitely see your point and it is valid. Only reaching 'wannabe' lawyer status, I'll have to defer to real-life attorneys here. Thanks for the input zztak.
