Take any group of workers as an example, if you have one individual who is negative beyond reason...trust me it's cancer and it spreads fast. One rotten apple spoils the whole bunch. All you need is the tiniest bit of levin...well you get the picture. Big difference between legitimately expressed concern and cancer.
