Avid Technology, Inc (NASDAQ: AVID) is an American company specializing in video and audio production technology; specifically, digital non-linear editing (NLE) systems, management and distribution services.
Non-linear editing for film and television postproduction is a modern editing method which involves being able to access any frame in a video clip with the same ease as any other.
I hope you and DM are right.
They call it non-linear, however , it's very much linear and random when it comes to e.Digital. I have made comments as to editing video utilizing e.Digitals methods in the past, just as they do with audio. They have the ability to edit into an audio stream at any point, it would work the same for video stream.
And this has nothing to do with paging/caching.....lol. This is a tier 2 deal IMO.
