They have the ability to edit into an audio stream at any point, it would work the same for video stream.

Meaning an already existing digital file, they can splice in other data at any point in the file.

Something you were not able to do with a digital audio prior to Norris.

It all relates to patented random data structure on a linear condition.

Random and linear normally do not associate. NOR flash has a Random access due to its physical cross point architecture....row and column addressing. NAND does not have a Random access due to its row only addressing. e.Digital brings a Random access to the NAND with its patented linear principles at a greater scale than NOR was ever utilized for.

Prior voice recorders utilized NOR and cross point architecture to address the beginning of a file only, where the balance of the file hung together through physical contact or contiguous arrangement(physical memory cells had to touch). Nothing held the files together other than physical contact. For that, you where not able to splice into the file or edit in any way.

e.Digitals patented logic fixed the problem.....for that, they can manage data non-contiguously or contiguously, where both types of data arrangements are not having to be physically cell bound.
