I agree for the most part.

I also want to keep the board on topic and would take action by deleting posts that do not follow the rules.

My concern is would be someone taking advantage of their authority without appropriate justification.

The first route would be to delete the posts. If disruptive posts continue then a b an may be the right thing to do.

One must however consider what is disruptive? And lets not forget that negative posts are not disruptive, but may vary depending on the individuals interpretation.

It's a touchly subject that needs proper control.
