In USA, after June 8,1995 the term is 20 Years from claimed date of filing, or 17 years from date of issue of EDIG type of patents...
This means EDIG has 17 years from date of issue to file its law suits for to enforce any rights given it by the Patents issued to it...
Some of the EDIG patents are getting close. As I recall Some of the patents were issued in 1990's...
This is assuming that some of the earlier patents were not "Extended", which require applications to the Patent Office...
The issue of Cross-Licensing, in my judgment, gives the patents "VALIDITY" and makes it that much easier to file applications for their "EXTENTION"...
EDIG still has time for filing for EXTENTION of its PATENETS...
