Totally agree with you Gil. Those big settlements were one time events for the plaintiffs, as opposed to EDIG's situation where they have hundreds to sue with the same infringement claims.
That being said, I don't see the harm in working it a bit better than EDIG's single PR with minimal details, but I suppose they are taking the advice of counsel.
