"No offense, but can you provide me of examples of stock message boards that fit your description?"
The EDIG chatrooms, AOL, Raging Bull, etc, among others, 1999 through 2000-'01.
No notable revenues, contracts, etc....just investors going positive via a paradigm shift with their perspective for anticipated expansion due to the company's patent portfolio and the markets to which those patents apply.
One could make the case that we are about as close today for that to again happen on some level as we were in early 1999. Seeing the market again become aware of the Flash patent portfolio and to which companies, products and growth markets they apply could trigger a similar phenomenon due to the vastness of the product mix that has been selling for the past decade and which looks to continue to sell through out the life of the patents.
Today we have patents, a contingent Duane Morris LLP IP division at the ready, early settlement wins, billions of dollars in annual revenues of product sales quantified, 174 infringers identified and perhaps a pending MARKMAN hearing months away with 6 already banked in the preliminary rounds.
Given how the table is set today, it seems logical to think that a successful result there would again open up the mind to explore the growth possibilities that lay ahead in the form of settlement agreemnents en mass.
As a result, the excitement will likely begin to be generated prior to, or at the time of a successful conclusion of the SAMSUNG case. However, there could be other components to this, companies or scenarios that further add credence to the excitement equation, depending on what transpires. (174 possibilities)
We should begin to first see volume surges followed by pps jumping IF AND WHEN the light bulb goes off.
It will be show time once again for EDIG if DM successfully delivers the goods.
But don't get too excited...lol...if might be good for your investment. LOL
When that light switch is tripped it will again be self explanatory, a no brainer on whether to once again bet on this pony.
10 years after the fact the company is not only still here, an accomplishment unto itself, but financially viable and positioned to defend its patents. The market will, at some point, see this as an unrealized opportunity and step in to participate.
