OK, Samsung's attorneys may have "studied this to death" as you say, BUT!

The reality is that it is Samsung. So what if the patents might not be that valid. If Samsung says they are valid then other companies will have to fight them in court for years and with better lawyers that smaller companies could never afford. They will cave to Samsung, where with EDIG they would laugh in their face. " Go away little kid, you bother me!!" It could be a partnership is forming, or a merger or a buyout. I don't think RP really will want to let go unless the price is unbelievable and fantastic and an out of their minds price. Even then RP may agree to somesort of partial buyout and a final buyout later, something with an insane golden parachute. It's all speculation here, but if Samsung can make money and get rid of a liability they will do it. IMO
