Cross License Discussions

Just got back and scanned most of the messages, and see lots of chat about XLA's, their value etc.
One of the things I am not very clear on is the ability to transfer a license to a buyer...ya ya I know...EDIG being bought....
RP has mentioned the XLA's add value to EDIG as a company, or words close to that, meaning there is a value of some kind to a prospective buyer as well as EDIG using them in the eVU and future products....if any?
Or does it mean if we partner with someone and co-market a CE widget, are the licenses transferable?
And how many years is a XLA good for?
With these NDA's, I guess we will never have answers to these questions.
A Man in the front row or row 2 (?) asked a quick question..."why did Samsung not just buy us?" and a very fast and direct reply was, "I wish I had you across the table during settlement negotiations." Did anyone else hear this quick exchange?
Maybe a day will come that we get an offer?
There's still some hope...LOL!!
