IMO, the significance of Slot Radio is that Sandisk makes it. Many, me inclused, have felt SNDK has been a long time infringer of EDIG.

When Samsung launched an attempt to buy SNDK for $26/share, just weeks before the 9/17/08 SHM, and turned it down as under valued, the buyout attempt was a topic of discussion before the meeting, during and after. It raised the question clear back then if SNDK was in our sites.
