I think 4 is correct outside the USA and EDIG also performs content changes and warranty repairs at the San Diego location, but on a small scale at the moment.

When the USA customer base grows enough, they made need to revamp.

This is my observation from visiting RP 9/17/09 and a tele chat w/FF 11/17/09 before the SHM. The "lab/repair" spot is some where in the back of the office space from a quick peak best I could tell.
