I guess its all in the eye of the beholder..combining a phone and laptop is complicated...Just from a fee standpoint, are you gonna pay for data usage from a wireless provider when you have a dedicated internet service provider in your home already? So Doni, I agree with your fees comment.

Now on your point with the wireless for your laptop, understood as I do to and that is our preference.

I am interested in your security concerns from an RJ45 standpoint. Cable companies, I can assure you, will soon begin to charge internet connections as well based off of usage probably beginning with their wireless/wifi end of the business.

Of course the work around for the time being is your standard linksys/cisco router but it will be temporary...
