I started writing about this topic that will not go away a while back and dropped it because of I was called on the telephone...
It seems it is a subject that interests many. So, here is my 2 cents as TK would say...
Out of the 19 being sued, ( 34 named defendans), we have 3 "settlements" that are alomst in the "Bank". With the DM track record, it seems reasoable 10-12 more will be concluded before the end of the year, if not all remaining 16 currently sued...
Immagine, an EDIG with no debt; $25-30 million in the bank; with a major American Airline announced as the "Customer" of eVU2; with DM just announcing a third round of law suits against some of the HEAVIES of the TIER II class of infringers; puts out a PR that the Board had decided to purchase some of the shares back in the open market, [put any number here- what is of significance is the announcement of the buy back, not the number of the sharesd], it will have a great impact on raising the interest of the Markt in buying EDIG...
I agree with both of you that 2010 is not the year for buy back. My reason though is not because it is nt doeable. Rather I am convinced that s long as litigation is heating up, EDIG will not be interested in disassemling its "POISON PILL"...
In short, if my recollection is right, RP has said over time that $21/share for EDIG with the current number of shares, which places the company value near its hights of $6.3 billion is the "POISON PILL" any take over parties have to swallow if they had hostile take over ideas...
