We're all speculating, some choose to speculate toward the negative more often than not.
The fact is, that at this point we don't know when the agreement(s) will expire, it could be when the patents do, or much longer.
We don't know the amounts, they could be very small or they could be huge, or somewhere in between.
We don't know why they've been structured this way, is it because these particular companies don't have the funds? Could it be "we've" decided to seek these settlement structures to create a steady stream of income that is more appealing to investors both large and small? Or is it a combination of both these and other factors?
My "hope" is that they don't expire for a very long time, that they're enormous in size and that eDig's fuse has been lit if you will. My "expectations" are much less than my hopes in every way, until the facts are known.
One fact that we do know? That all of this is very exciting regardless. A couple of years ago we were in the desert dying of thirst from the lack of...well anything. Now the reason that many (most?) of us invested in the first place is coming to fruition. We have actual news, the company over the last few years has changed it's tune from previous years, and has been very accurate (not perfect) in their announcements and intentions. They've been careful not to over promise and under deliver. We have something to talk / speculate about and there is much more on the horizon that gives us sweet anticipation. Once again very exciting.
On the other hand, it's been ten years and the sky might be falling...lol :)
