There are 2 kinds of flash that sometimes get confused:
1. The kind that is relevant to EDIG, flash (with a lower-case "f") memory is a non-volatile storage system, often removable, as in a digital camera and many cellphones.
2. The kind that has nothing to do with EDIG, Flash (with an upper-case "F") multi-media software, which is produced by Adobeand is extensively used on the web.
Apple uses the first kind extensively in many products. As to Adobe Flash, they use it in some products, grudgingly, and not others.
Hope this helps.
