I think it's too soon to connect the dots, but the company has stated many times, the next gen eVU would be introduced later this year, and the comment was also part of FF's presentation at the SHM, re: 2010.

IMO, it's logical to assume a BETA TEST would be manditory before offering it for sale via a normal trial before getting a purchase order. Picking an exisiting customer to conduct the beta test is a no brainor. The kinks need to be ironed out, if there are any, before having the confidence to launch a new product. The last thing a product supplier needs is a high warranty rate at any point during the life cycle their product offering, especially introducing it to the market place on day one.

Time will tell if our opinions become a reality.
